Pastor Tyrus was publicly licensed into ministry in June of 1982 and was ordained, June 29th, 2009.
About me
Pastor Tyrus resides in Furlong, PA with his wife and ministry partner of 32 years, Angie; as well as 2 of their 3 children: Lauren and Joshua.
Their oldest daughter Megan, and her husband Darryl, reside in Los Angeles, California.
As an Associate Pastor, Pastor Tyrus provides ministry oversight to the Teaching Ministries at Montco, specifically, Children’s Church/Sunday School and the young ladies purity ministry “Virtuous.”
Pastor Tyrus has a heart for youth and youth ministry, laboring also in the area of camp teen ministry as Program Director, Sports Director and Camp Counselor at Circle Y Ranch and Bible Conference Grounds for 27 years (1982 to 2009).
Additionally, for several years Pastor Tyrus has led Montco’s summer Vacation Bible School Outreach, as well as labored in worship and praise as a congregational song leader.
He currently works for Merck Animal Health as an Associate Director of Learning & Development for the Companion Animal and Equine Division.
My Personal Goals and Teachings
As a leader, I am committed to empowering leaders to exercise their gifts and support their development with Godly counsel and encouragement.
I count it an honor to be an ambassador of Christ and to have the privilege to preach the word of God and to exhort His body.
I love formal and informal study of the Word of God and take no greater delight than to see the light and love of the Gospel ignite a young person to a deeper commitment in their faith.
