About Me

I was born to home missionary parents Dr. B. Sam and Joyce Hart, in 1954. As the son of an evangelist and pastor I was exposed to many areas of ministry. I have seen churches begin in living rooms, preached in area wide crusades, served as a youth pastor, associate pastor, and as the lead pastor of Montco Bible Fellowship since 1992. I also serve as the principle bible teacher on the Grand Old Gospel Hour heard on over 150 stations nationally as well as globally. As a trained counselor and author of 3 books, I desire to share my love for the Lord with anyone who will listen.

I married Carol in 1977 and have found her to be an invaluable help personally as well as in ministry. Carol has been involved in many areas of ministry in the more 44 years of our marriage. She has been an invaluable part of the church’s music ministry and led our choir for 25 years. She holds me up where I am weak and holds me accountable when others don’t. Together we have four grown children and 10 grandchildren.

I have taken my Bible education seriously as I prepared for full-time ministry. I received my bachelor’s degree from Philadelphia Biblical University, now Cairn University, and my Master and Doctoral degrees from Biblical Theological Seminary, now Missio Seminary.

My Personal Goals

It is my desire to finish well the race that God has entrusted me to run. It is my firm conviction that if I stay close to the Lord and follow His lead, He will guide and He will be faithful to the end. I pray that as I continue to learn and grow in the knowledge of the Word that I will be able to encourage others to follow Jesus as well.

My Favorite Verse

Ephesians 4:11-13 has for years been my personal mission statement. “And He Himself gave some to be prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.”

My Personal Goals and Teachings

“As a teacher, I am committed to maintaining the integrity of God’s Word. I count it an awesome responsibility to preach and teach from the vast storehouse of riches which is the Word of God.

As I approach the Word of God, it is with the firm conviction that it is His desire to make Himself known. If we do not see or understand the Truth of God, the fault lies not with Him, but with us. If I can provoke the casual student to take a more earnest look at God’s Word, then I will have accomplished one goal at least. I gain my greatest joy from the study of the Holy Scriptures. The only thing that approaches that, is the opportunity to share it with others.”
